Bloodborne Pathogens

In a Bloodborne Pathogens class provided by the American Heart Association (AHA), participants are educated on the risks associated with exposure to bloodborne pathogens such as HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. The curriculum emphasizes preventive measures, including proper hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe work practices to minimize the risk of transmission. Participants learn how to identify potential hazards in their workplace and implement appropriate protocols to protect themselves and others. Additionally, the class covers procedures for cleaning up blood spills and disposing of contaminated materials safely. By imparting practical knowledge and guidelines, the AHA Bloodborne Pathogens class empowers individuals in various professions, such as healthcare, to safeguard against the spread of infectious diseases and maintain a safe working environment.
